This is the plaque from the cemetery that lists a number of names attached to the Israel family including Reiber and but oddly not Schnarr.

Catherina Schnarr Headstone

This is the headstone of Jacob Israel's wife's mother, Catherina Schnarr that I found in the old Strasburg Cemetery off Strasburg Rd. in south Kitchener.

Again this was quite the find.

This is a rare photo of Catherine Israel (Reiber) seated, with her daughter Ardina Trupp (Israel) to her left, her daughter Florence Young (Trupp) and her son Richard Young in Catherine's lap.

You don't often find a photo of your uncle, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother.

Jacob & Catherine Israel

Here is the only photo I have of both Jacob and Catherine perhaps taken at their last home at 164 Benton Street in Kitchener.

Interesting enough but their grand-daughter, my grandmother also lived in 164 Benton St. which was across the street from my other grandmother on my father's side. Both my parents' mothers played together as children since they lived opposite each other.

It's a small world sometimes.
